UPS - delivering what matters to people and planet

UPS is driving environmental initiatives to build more sustainable and resilient communities.

UPS is committed to delivering planet-friendly solutions. That’s why it is driving environmental initiatives to build more sustainable and resilient communities. In addition, UPS has invested nearly $1 billion in alternative fuels and advanced technology vehicles globally, with initiatives including:

  • Using 40% alternative fuels in ground operations by 2025
  • Using 100% renewable electricity in facilities by 2035
  • Reducing the CO2 emissions per package delivered by 50% by 2035
  • Becoming completely carbon-neutral by 2050

Perhaps one of the biggest things is the use of the innovative electric-assisted quad cycles for last mile deliveries. Around 30 e-cycle projects have been deployed across Europe, including the eQuads in London.

These innovative alternative fuel vehicles are supporting the reduction of emissions and congestion as they rely on pedal power. They can also make use of cycle lanes to navigate busy urban environments and areas with restricted access for large vehicles.

You may have spotted the eQuads roaming London. Keep your eyes peeled for a special little something featuring the HumanForest team in the next few weeks 👀.

And luckily for us, they’ve made it easy to choose a more sustainable delivery option, by giving us 10% off all parcels sent via UPS Access Point locations (find a location here) using the code CYCLE10.
