Every so often we hear about an innovative, sustainable product that is making a positive impact on the planet. Acer’s latest product launch, the Aspire Vero, is just that!
Acer came onboard with HumanForest as the latest partner to join our sustainable partner community - connecting you, with companies who are tackling climate change, just like we are.
Talk to me about the Aspire Vero? Well, it’s a newly designed PC with a number of environmentally conscious specifications including being made from recycled plastics, use of standardised screws to allow easy repairs and upgrades and being paint-free to further reduce its impact on the planet.
The Aspire Vero is contributing to a 21% reduction of CO2 emissions compared to the production of a standard laptop, and that is a statistic we love to hear!
To continue Acer’s CO2 saving efforts, we created a CO2 emission-based challenge on our app. Just through pedal power, you could be in with the chance to win one of two Acer Aspire Vero laptops!
The top 50 riders every month who have avoided the most CO2 through using our eBikes will be put into a draw, and 1 winner per month across 2 months, will be selected at random and get their hands on an Aspire Vero laptop.
More pedalling, means more CO2 saved - so Acer wants to reward as many people as possible for getting involved in their challenge, by simultaneously offering to plant a tree for every 20km ridden by each Treenion. This is already on top of their pledge to plant 100 trees per Aspire Vero purchased, we’re confident with the addition of thousands of HumanForest rides, we’ll be well on our way to creating a HumanForest x Acer forest!
