Move your match from online to offline with Bumble | HumanForest

We've planned the perfect first date so you don't have to...

It's been a long standing talking point in the HumanForest office that an eBike ride might just be the perfect first date. So much so that we’ve partnered with popular dating app Bumble to make this happen.

Let's think about it. Firstly, the pressure is immediately lifted by being able to wear something you’re actually comfortable in. Secondly, being out and about, exploring the city, gives you more things to naturally talk about with your date, taking away that conversational pressure. And third, you can save yourself some money as we’re offering a free thirty minute ride, leaving you with more cash to splurge on heat-appropriate snacks along the way!

So put your trusty trainers on, meet at a convenient Green Bay and spend some time exploring the sights, sounds and smells of our beautiful city.

We've done the hard work for you and planned out a route that we are sure is going to impress!

Start: Borough Market

Starting here is a good bet, as there are always lots of bikes around and plenty of conversation starters at the ready as you take in the wonderful smells of the market.

Start your date outside the bustling Borough Market

Stop 1: St. Dunstan in the East

Take the bikes over Tower Bridge, make sure you point out the HMS Belfast on your left to let your date know you at least have some basic history knowledge. Continue up and skirt around the Tower of London to St Dunstan in the East, a garden in the ruins of a church which was largely destroyed in the Second World War. It now is kept as a quiet oasis in the centre of a busy city, free to roam around as you please.

A beautiful hidden oasis

Stop 2: The Barbican

Head north on the bikes past the impressive Bank of England until you get to the Barbican. Use this as another chance to impress your date by stating that the area is the most prominent example of brutalist architecture found anywhere in the world. Head to the Barbican Conservatory and have a wander around the greenhouse to take in the 1500 different species of flora displayed. A perfect opportunity to find out a bit more about your date in a relaxed setting.

Finish: Spitalfields Market

Finish your date by heading to the nearby Spitalfields Market. Here you can grab a bite together and discuss the days outing (and hopefully organise the next one!) over a cold drink and snack. We recommend Humble Crumble, the perfect sweet ending to a great day out.

Finish the day off with some apple crumble!

So there you have it. Your first date, all planned out. Let us know how you got on by tagging us along the way @humanforest_uk // @bumble_uki

ENJOY!!!!
